THE CHALLENGE

Flowserve had built something that could change how industrial companies operate — a platform that puts real-time intelligence into the hands of engineers and operators managing critical equipment across global facilities. Sensors. Data. Predictive insights. The technology worked. The story did not exist yet.

The challenge was to launch a net-new brand in a crowded industrial IoT market, simplify a genuinely complex product offering, and create a name, identity, and narrative that could align internal teams, excite the sales force, and convince enterprise customers that Flowserve was not just a valve manufacturer — it was a digital-first industrial technology company.

Everything needed to be built from zero: the name, the visual identity, the design language, the launch campaign, the product UI creative direction, the sales materials, the trade show presence, the video content, and the internal enablement tools. It had to work globally, across multiple product lines, and at the speed a new platform launch demands.

THE NAME

The name needed to carry the weight of what the platform actually did: watch, detect, and respond — continuously, intelligently, and without rest. It needed to feel like a guardian of critical infrastructure. Something with instinct and precision.

RedRaven emerged from that brief. Ravens are among the most intelligent creatures in nature — they observe, remember, anticipate, and communicate. They see what others miss. Red brought urgency, energy, and the visual identity of Flowserve’s existing brand equity. Together the name communicated a platform that is always watching, always learning, and always ready to act.

“RedRaven wasn’t just a product — it was a transformation. We didn’t just launch a brand, we helped redefine how Flowserve connects with customers through data, digital insight, and storytelling that makes complexity accessible.”

THE BRAND SYSTEM

The visual identity was built to feel like precision intelligence — dark, confident, and data-driven, with red as the signal color. The design language extended across every surface the platform would touch: product UI, brand guidelines, web, video, trade shows, sales materials, and internal launch communications.
